Celebrating the Biggest Infrastructure Projects in Canada
N FEBRUARY 24, senior executives from throughout the Canadian public
sector infrastructure landscape came together at The Carlu in downtown Toronto to celebrate $343 billion in infrastructure megaproject
development.
Michael Fedchyshyn, CEO of Building Ontario Fund provided
the keynote remarks at the annual event in front of more than 300
guests, discussing the many accomplishments of the organization in the
14 short months since its creation by the provincial government.
“While the Building Ontario Fund’s investment activities have grown
rapidly, so too has our work in expanding the scope, headroom, and
ambition of Ontario’s Indigenous Opportunities Financing Program,”
said Fedchyshyn.
“All megaprojects require coordination across utilities, regulators,
Indigenous communities, governments, and global supply chains.
When those partnerships are structured early—projects move faster,
and outcomes improve. Because at the heart of every major project
are partnerships.”
Because the answers to many of Canada’s infrastructure challenges
will depend on our collective e昀昀orts to address risk, to act upon a
generational opportunity to do bold things in Canada, and to build the
robust partnerships we need to meet these challenges.”
Work is now underway to develop the 2027 edition of the Top100
