Nzinga White
The Canadian Network of Asset Managers (CNAM) board appointed
Nzinga White, CAE, as its new executive director. White is an award-winning not-for-profit management professional with nearly 10 years of experience supporting the operations management and strategic growth
of member-based organizations. She has served as executive director for three national
professional associations, and in management roles for several others.
Sam Rogers, Emma Calvert
The City of Mississauga selected Sam Rogers as the
new Commissioner of Transportation and Works and
Emma Calvert as the City’s Director of Infrastructure
Planning and Engineering Services. Rogers has served
as the Acting Commissioner of Transportation and Works since June 2024. Prior to
this role, he served as Director of Infrastructure Planning and Engineering Services
and before that, as the Interim Director of Transit Operations. He first joined the city
in 2015 as Manager of Security Services and was appointed Director of Enforcement
in May 2017. Calvert will report to the Commissioner of Transportation and Works,
and has more than a decade of experience with the City, most recently as the Acting
Director and Manager leading the Development, Engineering and Construction team.
Olga Farman
The Port of Québec’s Board of Directors announced the appointment
of Olga Farman as CEO, succeeding Mario Girard›s fourteen-year
service in that position. A member of the Board since 2020 and
its chair since last June, Farman, was a corporate lawyer, until
very recently, the managing partner of the Québec office of Norton Rose Fulbright
Canada. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Caisse de dépôt et
placement du Québec, Beneva, insurance & financial services, and the Fondation du
Musée de la civilisation de Québec.
Christine Healy
Northland Power Inc. appointed Christine Healy as president
and Chief Executive Officer. With over 20 years of experience in
managing multi-billion-dollar businesses, Healy joins Northland from
AtkinsRéalis, where she served as president of Asia, the Middle East
and Australia. Prior to that, she held senior executive roles at TotalEnergies and also
served as president and CEO of Total E&P Canada.
Evelyn Angelle
Bird Construction Inc. announced the appointment of Evelyn Angelle to its
Board of Directors. Angelle, a private investor, philanthropist and director,
joins the Board with a distinguished background in public company
finance and public accounting, having held senior leadership positions at
Halliburton Company after a 15-year career in the audit practice of Ernst & Young LLP.
Anahita Jami, Daniel J. Matthews
CIMA+ announced the nomination of Anahita Jami to the
role of Director, Environment, Social and Governance (ESG),
and the appointment of Daniel J. Matthews to the position
of Regional Executive Vice President, Western Canada. Jami
joined CIMA+ in early 2024 and was instrumental in the execution of the organization’s
ESG plan. With more than 25 years of experience in the engineering consulting industry,
Matthews brings diverse and substantial expertise to his new position.
Stephanie Davies
The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) announced Stephanie Davies as
its new Chief Capital Officer. Most recently, Davies was the Chief Capital
Officer at Metrolinx in charge of GO Expansion, a $35-billion program to
expand, electrify and modernize signalling of the GO network. For over 20
years, Stephanie had a hand in almost every aspect of the GO network—expanding rail
corridors and stations, building new bus maintenance facilities, and partnering with local
transit agencies to deliver joint infrastructure, such as the Mississauga Transitway.
Catherine Peacock, Nisha Bathe
Infrastructure BC announced the promotion of Catherine
Peacock, CPA, CMA, FCMA (UK), vice president, Planning
and Procurement, and the appointment of Nisha Bathe
as assistant vice president, Legal. Peacock joined
Infrastructure BC as an assistant vice president in 2019. Prior to that she was a managing
director at PwC in its Capital Projects and Infrastructure practice and a senior vice
president in Ernst & Young’s Infrastructure practice. Prior to joining Infrastructure BC in
2024, Bathe was Legal Counsel at B.C.’s Ministry of Attorney General, working closely with
the Ministry of Transportation and Transit.
Jason Thorne
The City of Toronto announced Jason Thorne, MCIP, RPP as the new chief
planner and executive director of City Planning. Thorne joins the City from
Stantec, a global consulting firm, where he was the National Urban Places
Sector Lead. His public sector experience includes 10 years with the City
of Hamilton, Metrolinx, and the Ministry of Public Infrastructure Renewal.
Patrick Maginn, Nathalie Viens
LOGISTEC announced the appointment of Patrick
Maginn as president of its Water Infrastructure
Solutions division, and Nathalie Viens as president
of its Water and Environment Division. Maginn joins
from his previous role as president of North Point Roofing. Maginn brings a wealth
of experience to his new position, having led, built, and scaled significant realizable
value within both private and private equity-backed portfolio companies. Prior to
joining ALTRA | SANEXEN, Viens’ previous roles included managing director and
Head of Private Infrastructure Asset Management at CBRE Investment Management,
operating partner at the CDPQ, as well as senior management positions at Veolia
Canada, AtkinsRéalis and Accenture.
Erin Ciezki
The Environmental Services Association of Alberta (ESAA) announced the
appointment of Erin Ciezki executive director. Ciezki joined ESAA in 2023
as the manager of Strategic Relations. Previously, Ciezki worked with the
Alberta Water and Wastewater Operators Association for more than 10
years. She will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of ESAA, as well as
the delivery of our signature high-level events, including RemTech..
Peter Hennig
EBC appointed Peter Hennig to the position of vice president – Major
Project, Tunnel & Underground Group. With over 30 years’ experience
in the construction industry and leading-edge expertise in tunnelling
and underground work, Hennig has successfully completed numerous
large-scale, complex projects across Canada and internationally. Since joining EBC
last September, Peter has already played a strategic role in several major projects.
Paul Ficca
HKA announced the appointment of Paul Ficca as its new Regional CEO
for the Americas. Ficca brings over 36 years of experience in forensic
accounting and litigation consulting. Prior to joining HKA, he was the
global segment leader for Forensic and Litigation Consulting at FTI
Consulting. He has held several executive management positions, leading large consulting
groups specializing in economic, forensic, and investigative services.
