Jason Olinski
J.L. Richards & Associates Limited (JLR) announced the appointment of Jason Olinski, M.Eng., P.Eng., Struct.Eng., MIStructE, as
the new Director of Structural Engineering. Olinski joined JLR as a
co-op student in 2009 and has since become a highly respected
leader known for his technical expertise, collaborative mindset, and commitment
to mentorship.
Claudine Bouchard
Claudine Bouchard has been appointed president and CEO of Hydro-Québec. Bouchard had served as Executive Vice President and
Chief Operating Officer and Infrastructure Officer of Hydro-Québec
since September 2023. She has worked at the government corporation for more than 25 years, including five in senior management. A visionary and
strategic leader, she has been leading the modernization and development of our
energy system and is one of the architects of the Action Plan 2035.
Dean Rawson
Tahltan Nation Development Corporation (TNDC) announced the
appointment of Dean Rawson as Vice President, Construction.
Rawson brings more than 30 years of leadership in construction, operations, engineering, and project execution across the
pipeline, gas distribution, and mining industries. Most recently, he was Director,
Engineering, Study and Project Management at Teck Resources. His prior roles
included Vice President, Operations and Engineering at Pacific Northern Gas and
Apex Utilities, and Director, Mainline Projects at Enbridge.
Daniel Farina
La Caisse and CDPQ Infra announced the appointment of Daniel
Farina as President and CEO. Farina joined CDPQ Infra in 2019
and was appointed General Manager in September 2023. He
brings over 25 years of experience in managing and structuring
major infrastructure projects worldwide. Before joining CDPQ Infra, Farina worked
for the OHLA Group, including as director responsible for the new Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (CHUM) project.
Sarah Morison, Kristen Bauer
The Canadian Association of Women in Construction (CAWIC), announced the appointments of
Sarah Morison as its new Executive Director, and
Kristen Bauer as President of the 2025-26 Board
of Directors. Morison brings extensive nonprofit leadership experience and will
focus on strengthening member engagement, partnerships, and future programming. Bauer, Innovation Product & Solutions Manager at United Rentals, steps
into the role with a bold national advocacy agenda, including expanding mentorship programs, driving workplace equity, and forging new industry partnerships.
Scott Armstrong
Entuitive welcomed Scott Armstrong as a Senior Associate on
its Building Envelope and Sustainability team, based in Toronto.
With more than 25 years of experience, Armstrong has helped
shape many complex and high-performance buildings across sectors and continents—from Canada to the Caribbean to the Middle East. A LEED
Accredited Professional, he brings deep expertise in façade systems, decarbonization, building enclosures, vegetated roofs, retrofits, and sustainable design.

David Humphreys, Laurel Murphy
AECOM appointed David Humphreys as Senior Vice
President, Canada Risk and Project Delivery Leader. Prior to
his promotion, Humphreys held the position of Director of
Operations – Water, Central and Western Canada, where he
was responsible for planning and directing operations for the water business in Canada.
As part of this transition, Laurel Murphy has been appointed to serve as the Director of
Operations – Water, Central and Western Canada. Murphy comes to AECOM with over 20
years of industry experience in consulting engineering in the water market, including complex water and sewer projects for the municipalities of Metro Vancouver, Halifax, Calgary,
Winnipeg, Toronto, and the Region of Halton.
Rod Ackerman
Marco announced CEO Christopher Hickman will transition to the role of
Executive Chairman. Stepping into the CEO role is Rod Ackerman, Marco’s current COO. Ackerman started with Marco in 1999 and assumed
a leadership role with Marco Group in 2010. Rod brings 26 years of
experience with the company. Known for his hands-on approach, he remains actively
engaged with projects and teams across the organization, ensuring high standards of
execution and performance.
Arsalan Zargar
CIMA+ announced the appointment of Arsalan Zargar as Senior Vice
President, Transportation for Ontario and Western Canada. Prior to
joining CIMA+, Zargar served in a number of executive leadership roles,
most recently as Executive Vice President – Transit and Transportation
at Infrastructure Ontario, where he was responsible for overseeing a multi-billion-dollar
portfolio of transit infrastructure initiatives across the province.
Margaret Parkhill
Arup announced the appointment of Margaret Parkhill as Principal and
Americas Bus Rapid Transit Leader, based in Toronto. Parkhill will lead
the expansion of Arup’s BRT services across the Americas. With more
than 20 years of experience in transportation planning and design,
Parkhill’s Bus Rapid Transit leadership spans major Canadian projects, including
London’s 24-km Bus Rapid Transit network, the 36-km Durham–Scarborough BRT for
Metrolinx, and TransLink’s King George Boulevard BRT in Surrey, B.C.
Andria Leigh
Andria Leigh officially began her two-year term as Ontario Professional
Planners Institute (OPPI) chair. Leigh is the director of planning and
growth at the Town of Innisfil and has over 30 years of experience,
primarily in the public sector, where she leads and serves community
stakeholders. Along with serving multiple terms on the council, she has held a long list
of volunteer roles within OPPI, as well as with community organizations.
Tim Laronde
FNMPC welcomed Tim Laronde as Senior Advisor, Project Development. Laronde is Anishinaabe from Nipissing First Nation, located in
the Robinson Huron Treaty area. With over 25 years of experience in
business development and capacity-building, he has dedicated his
career to advancing Indigenous economic inclusion through relationship-based work.
In his primary role as National Director, Indigenous Strategies at Chandos Construction,
Laronde continues to lead efforts to increase Indigenous procurement and talent while
supporting Nations in their pursuit of self-determination.
