THE 2025 CANADIAN NETWORK OF ASSET MANAGERS (CNAM) Conference was hosted in downtown Edmonton and delivered a high-quality
program of technical sessions, workshops, and the Tereo Awards Gala
dinner.
The Tereo Award recognizes organizations that are implementing
innovative new concepts, processes, or procedures; or the demonstration of signiocant improvement in business performance through the
adoption of asset management tools and techniques.
The 1st Place Tereo Award was presented to the City of Coquitlam, for its 3-D Building Management project utilizing Visual Plan
technology. Recognizing the need for modernized asset management
practices, Visual Plan was used to scan building interiors, providing
a comprehensive view of internal systems integrated into the City9s
Asset Management database.
The 2nd Place Tereo Innovator Award was presented to Parks Canada for their work with Associated Engineering and Dillon Consulting on the development of innovative asset analysis approaches that
employed data-driven analysis to evaluate maintenance needs, code
and accessibility improvements, energy and GHG opportunities and
climate vulnerabilities and adaptations.
The 3rd Place Tereo Innovator Award was presented to the Regional
Municipality of York for its development of a new water and wastewater asset management application, which pulls data directly from
diferent corporate databases into proole pages for every water and
wastewater system, facility, watermain and sewer.
The Vision Award was presented to Dr. Khalid Kaddoura, who
has been dedicated to the asset management discipline for more than
a decade through academic, professional and volunteer work. The
Volunteer Award was presented to Leslie Nanibush, asset management coordinator with the Township of Wilmot. The Student Research
Symposium Award was presented to Abdelhady Omar, a civil engineering Ph.D. student at Concordia University.
