Craig Rowbotham, Todd Baker,

KGS Group announced that Craig
Rowbotham has been appointed as
Transportation Department Head (Winnipeg), Todd Baker as Environmental Department Head (Vancouver), and Soni Proctor as the Electrical Department Head (Vancouver). Rowbotham joined KGS Group
in 1999 and worked as the assistant department head in the Municipal Department
before he transitioned over to the same role in the transportation group in Winnipeg.
Baker joins KGS Group with over 25 years of experience in solid waste management
planning, landfill design, organic residuals management, solid waste economics,
and solid waste infrastructure design. Procotr has over 14 years of demonstrated
expertise in project management and process improvement, resulting in increased
revenue, reduced costs, enhanced efficiency and elevated customer satisfaction.
Cameron Schaefer, Tara Erwin
HDR named Cameron Schaefer, P.E., as the firm’s
transportation technology director, and Tara
Erwin, P.Eng. as the transportation director for
Canada. During his 15 years at HDR, Schaefer has
been a leader on high-profile projects like the Ontario Line subway, Los Angeles
International Airport Automated People Mover, and Link Union Station. Erwin
has been with HDR for more than 21 years, having originally joined as a project
manager in 2003. Over time, she rose to senior project manager, transportation
planning lead, AVP, transportation business group manager for Eastern Canada,
VP, transportation business group manager for Canada and, most recently, SVP.
Lee Hang-Liu, Duane Strayer
Associated Engineering announced the appointments of Lee Hang-Liu, P.Eng. as division manager, Infrastructure, and Duane Strayer, P.Eng. as
vice president, Urban Infrastructure.
Since joining Associated Engineering in 2020, Hang-Liu has served as manager, Municipal Infrastructure, bringing over 20 years of experience in the public
sector and consulting engineering to projects (including the 37 Street SW Storm
Trunk Relocation and the Forest Lawn Lift Station) that have helped to improve
communities in southern Alberta.
Strayer joined Associated Engineering in 1998 as a senior civil engineer and
project manager, specializing in infrastructure design and construction. He has
been involved in numerous infrastructure projects across Western Canada, from
master plans to conceptual, preliminary and detailed design, construction, and
commissioning. In addition, he has taken on roles of increasing responsibility,
including Group Manager, Infrastructure and most recently as Division Manager,
Infrastructure.
Matt Travers
Stantec announced that Matt Travers has moved into the role
of executive vice president of Water for Stantec’s North America
operations. Travers takes on this role as Ryan Roberts, who has
led the Water business for three years, takes on a global position
as chief practice officer. Travers brings over 30 years of industry experience,
first joining Stantec in 1994 and holding multiple roles in project delivery and
operations. For the past three years he served as operations leader for the water
business. His background includes a focus on wet weather, combined sewer
overflows control, and wastewater projects.
Romain Taillandier
WSP announced the appointment of Romain Taillandier, PEng to the
position of vice president of Transit, Bus and Fleet - WSP in Canada
Transportation Systems team. A seasoned expert in urban transit, Taillandier has dedicated much of his career on advancing tram and bus
systems, collaborating with major transit agencies globally to implement innovative
solutions for fleet electrification and systems integration.
Mark Stirling
Egis announced the appointment of Mark Stirling P. Eng., MBA, PMP
as vice president of Project Management. Stirling is an accomplished
professional engineer and certified project management professional
with over 20 years of experience. He has extensive experience managing major capital projects of over $1B in various industries including infrastructure.
Zara Georgis
LEA Consulting announced the promotion of Zara Georgis to the
position of manager, Transportation Engineering for Western Canada.
With a solid background in transportation engineering and a passion
for innovative solutions, Georgis has played a pivotal role in numerous successful projects, significantly contributing to the growth and success of the
organization.
