CNAM Conference
IN LAVAL, QUE., asset management professionals from across Canada came to-
gether at the annual CNAM conference to celebrate industry excellence with the
presentation of the Tereo, Future Leaders Symposium, Visionary, and Volunteer
of the Year awards.

At its annual conference CNAM presented awards to:
1. The Region of Niagara, 2. Patrick Kelly, 3. Steve Wyton,
4. The Town of Newmarket, 5. Amir Fard, 6. York Region

The 1st Place Tereo Award was presented to the Region of Niagara for its work on revolutionizing
Fleet Management with extensive condition indices and AI-based forecasting.
The 2nd Place Tereo Award was presented to York Region for its use of innovative technology and
whole-life costing approaches for data-driven road investment decisions.
The 3rd Place Tereo Award was presented to the Town of Newmarket for its “Informed Service
Delivery” project. In response to the increasing complexities of municipal service delivery, Newmarket
developed an innovative digital solution to enhance its decision-making processes.
The Visionary Award was presented to Steve Wyton. A trailblazer in the AM field, Steve Wyton was a
founding partner and past chair of the Canadian Network of Asset Managers. He served as director
for the Canadian Infrastructure Report Card, with a commitment to shape Canada’s infrastructure
future.
The Volunteer Award was presented to Patrick Kelly, who is well known in the CNAM community
for his engaging role as host of two virtual Fall Summits and the Annual Conference. He is an active
volunteer with CNAM, serving on the executive committee, governance committee and on the CNAM
board currently as secretary-treasurer.
The Future Leaders Symposium Award was presented to Amir Fard, a PhD candidate at
Toronto Metropolitan University for tackling one of the most complex challenges in infrastructure
management: how to equitably and efficiently allocate limited budgets across diverse asset classes.
