THP—PETER GILGAN MISSISSAUGA HOSPITAL
INFRASTRUCTURE ONTARIO (IO) and Trillium Health Partners (THP), in
partnership with the Ontario government, have awarded a 昀椀xed-price
contract of $13.9 billion to ED+PCL Healthcare Partners—a joint venture
featuring EllisDon and PCL Constructors Canada Inc.—to design, build,
昀椀nance and maintain The Peter Gilgan Mississauga Hospital and Shah
Family Hospital for Women and Children.
“The Peter Gilgan Mississauga Hospital and the Shah Family
Hospital for Women and Children will serve as state-of-the-art hubs
for advanced, digitally connected care—seamlessly
linked across the health system, from family doctors to
home and long-term care—to put people at the centre,”
said Karli Farrow, president and CEO, Trillium Health
Partners.
The ED+PCL Healthcare Partners team includes:

“This project, delivered through IO’s progressive P3
model, has fostered a highly collaborative approach
throughout the planning and development phase. We are
excited to now move into construction and begin building this landmark
hospital that will serve the growing and diverse Mississauga community
for generations to come,” said Angela Clayton, president and CEO,
Infrastructure Ontario.
Now that the Development Phase is complete and the P3 contract
has been awarded, ED+PCL Healthcare Partners is on site to redevelop
the hospital, and construction is expected to be complete in 2033, with
transition to hospital operations targeted for 2034.
