Raya Khalifé
Egis announced the appointment of Raya Khalifé, ing., MBA,
PMP as the new Vice President and National Director, Urban
Transportation. With 25 years of experience in Canada and the
United States, Khalifé is a leader in the urban transportation sector
and has played key roles in delivering complex projects. She joins Egis to oversee
and lead its Service Line for Urban Transportation, which includes its Rail and
Transit, and Transportation Planning and Mobility teams.
Sébastien Fecteau
The members of the board of directors of the Association of
Consulting Engineering Firms of Quebec (AFG) appointed Sébastien
Fecteau as chairman of the board of directors for the year
2025-2026, on the sidelines of the annual general meeting held
yesterday. Executive Vice President of the engineering consulting firm gbi, the new
Chairman of the Board was already a Vice President on the AFG Board of Directors.
Ryan Watson
RAM Consulting announced the appointment of Ryan Watson as
Manager of Electrical Engineering. With over 17 years of experience
leading EPCM (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction
Management) projects, Watson brings a wealth of expertise
spanning concept design, FEED, execution, and field engineering. He has supported
a broad range of sectors and project types, including greenfield and brownfield
developments in renewables, HVDC systems, battery energy storage, oilsands, gas
plants, pipelines, tailings, power upgrades, packaged buildings, substations, SAGD
well pads, and refineries.
Alan Norris
The Calgary Municipal Land Corporation (CMLC) announced the
appointment of Alan Norris as the new Chair of the Board of Directors.
Norris joined the CMLC Board in 2024 and brings a legacy of
distinguished leadership in the development industry. He most recently
served as Managing Partner in Brookfield’s Real Estate Group and was Executive Chair of
Brookfield Properties’ development group in North America until 2021. He is also past
Chairman of the Calgary Homeless Foundation and was inducted into the BILD Alberta
Hall of Fame in 2018 for his contributions to the industry.
Darrin De Stephanis
NFP appointed Darrin De Stephanis as senior vice president, Capital
Solutions and Commercial Surety Growth Leader. De Stephanis, based in
Vancouver, has over a decade of experience in the surety industry, most
recently as a manager of a national commercial surety portfolio at Intact.
He began his career as a surety and subcontractor default insurance broker at Aon and is
a chartered financial analyst (CFA).
Matthew Glanzer, Pierric Lepert
EBC announced the appointments of Matthew
Glanzer as Vice President Major Civil Projects –
Transportation. and Pierric Lepert as Vice President,
Major Civil Projects – Bridges. Glanzer has worked in the
construction industry for 20 years and notable achievements include his role as General
Superintendent on the Kamehameha & Farrington Guideway LRT project in Honolulu, and
as Construction Manager on the complex Turcot Interchange site in Montreal. From the
start of his career, Lepert has been involved in major infrastructure construction projects
in the large-scale bridge sector. His experience in Canada and abroad has given him a
wealth of knowledge and skills that make him ideally suited to this position.
Leslie McWilliams
Laurentis Energy Partners, a subsidiary of Ontario Power Generation
(OPG), announced the appointment of Leslie McWilliams as
President and CEO. With more than 25 years of experience at OPG,
Leslie has held a range of senior roles across the company, most
recently serving as deputy senior vice president at Darlington Nuclear. She brings a
strong background in engineering, operations, and leadership to her new role.
Alena Thouin
The Building Ontario Fund (BOF) announced the appointment
of Alena Thouin as Chief Strategy and Operations Officer. Thouin
played a pivotal role in the agency’s formation. As Chief Operating
Officer at the Ontario Financing Authority, she was appointed
Executive Lead of the BOF Secretariat, and in that capacity, was instrumental in
shaping BOF’s vision, laying its foundation. As CSOO, she will play a key role in
advancing BOF’s vision, strategy, and future direction.
Melissa Sonberg
Hydro One Limited announced that Melissa Sonberg has been
appointed as the new Chair of the Board. Sonberg, who joined the
Board of Directors in 2018, was most recently a Professor of Practice
at McGill University’s Desautels Faculty of Management, where she
was a faculty member from 2014 to 2024. She spent the early part of her career in
the healthcare industry before joining Air Canada, where she held leadership positions
in a range of customer facing, operational and corporate functions.

Crozier announced a series of leadership appointments.
Alex Fleming, P.Eng., MBA, is promoted to Vice President, Transportation. Joining as a
project manager in 2006, Alex became a shareholder and Associate in 2014, joined the
Board in 2020, and was made Partner and Director of Transportation in 2023.
Kirsten Andersen, J.D., joins as General Counsel. Kirsten’s previous role was leading the
Design Professional Group for the Canadian branch of a global insurance company, prior
to which she handled claims for the same group after several years in private practice.
Brittany Robertson, P.Eng., is promoted to Director, Development. Brittany joined
Crozier in 2013 and in 2018 was appointed an Associate and joined the ownership
group. Recently, Brittany was promoted to Partner and appointed to the Board of
Directors.
Janet Hughes, CHRL, is promoted to Director, Corporate Services. Janet joined Crozier in
2016 as Human Resources Manager, became a shareholder and Associate in 2018, and
joined the Board of Directors in 2022.
Chris Gerrits, M.Sc., P.Eng., is promoted to Director, Development. Chris joined in 2019
as a senior project manager and hydrogeological engineer, became a shareholder in
2022, and manager in 2024.
Elaine Plewes is promoted to Director, Finance. Since joining in 2016, Elaine has
worked in various finance areas including payroll, benefits, accounts, and financial
reporting.
