project is a 4.5-kilometre, high-floor LRT
extension along the west side of 111 Street

Avenue; two bridges (one across Blackmud
Creek and one across Anthony Henday
Drive); two stations (Twin Brooks station and
Heritage Valley North station connecting to
the Heritage Valley Transit Centre and Park
and Ride); an Operations and Maintenance
Facility; and light rail vehicles.

MILITARY
The Dwyer Hill Training Centre (DHTC) will provide the Canadian Special Operations Forces Command (CANSOFCOM) with
the modern infrastructure needed to support their training and
operations. This project will provide more than 100,000 square
metres of purpose-built space to meet CANSOFCOM’s long-term
growth, training, and high-readiness operational needs. Work
includes replacing 89 aging and temporary structures with 23
new facilities; renovating seven buildings; and upgrading the
site’s utilities.
