Steven Waddel
PCL announced the appointment of Rear Admiral (Retired) Steven
Waddell, CMM, MSM, as Deputy National Director, Defence and
Federal Government Relations. Waddell, with more than 35 years
of distinguished service in the Canadian Armed Forces, will provide
strategic leadership and guidance across PCL’s Canadian Buildings and Civil
Infrastructure divisions, supporting a unified approach to federal government
opportunities. His focus will include the significant portfolio of defence-related
infrastructure initiatives anticipated over the next decade.
Douglas Coles
The Association of Consulting Engineering Companies-Canada (ACEC)
announced Douglas Coles, P.Eng., principal of Coles Associates of
Charlottetown, P.E.I., as the new chair of the ACEC Board of Directors
for the 2025–2026 term. Since 1980, Coles has worked on projects
in Canada and abroad, including India, China, Poland, and Argentina. His work spans
project management, process engineering, energy management, commissioning
and verification, traditional building electrical and mechanical services, as well as
security/data systems and communications.
Erika Ryter, Sheri Gilmour
Stantec announced the appointments of Erika Ryter
as Regional Growth Leader for Canada East, and
Sheri Gilmour as Regional Growth Leader for Canada West. With more than two decades of experience
at Stantec, Ryter leverages her experience in client management and leadership
to foster growth and create new opportunities throughout Ontario and Atlantic
Canada. Gilmour brings over 28 years of experience in client management, revenue
growth, and environmental leadership.
Ivana Gligoric
Arup announced the appointment of Ivana Gligoric, Ph.D., as
Americas Host Cities Leader, based in Toronto. Prior to joining
full-time, Ivana has worked in a consultant capacity for Arup since
2019, serving as a strategic advisor on their work in Peru, including the Pan American Games, and leading the Arup team of over 100 experts
working on the Government-to-Government Peru Reconstruction Program. She also
advised on Arup’s work in the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, UK, providing
strategic advice to host city executives.
Eric Martin
CIMA+ announced the appointment of Eric Martin as senior vice
president, Information Technology. With over 35 years of experience in the information technology sector, mostly in management,
Martin joined CIMA+ in 2025 as a strategic advisor in information
technology. Previously, he served as vice president, IT and Digital Transformation,
CIO and director of delivery in the private sector.
Thomas Bekenn
RAM Consulting announced the promotion of Thomas Bekenn, P.Eng.,
to manager of project management. Bekenn has worked for BC Hydro,
Dragados Canada and Hatch. He joined RAM in 2022 as an intermediate project manager and has played a key role in delivering major
infrastructure projects in B.C., including Metro Vancouver’s North Surrey Interceptor
Capital Upgrades Program, New Westminster’s Interceptor Columbia Rehabilitation and
the Fraser River Debris Recovery Project.
Annabelle Hamilton
Woodworks announced that Annabelle Hamilton has been appointed
executive director of WoodWorks BC. Since joining WoodWorks in 2023,
Hamilton has brought exceptional vision, technical depth, and industry
experience to the team. Her leadership has helped advance the adoption
of wood construction in B.C., strengthen performance on key market-growth indicators,
and build critical partnerships across the development and municipal sectors. With a
background in real estate development and project delivery across international markets,
Annabelle combines hands-on project experience with strong strategic insight.
Reinaldo Mogollon, Alberto Garcia-Miron
TYLin announced the appointments of Reinaldo Mogollon and Alberto Garcia-Miron to its Alternative Delivery
team. Mogollon brings more than 35 years of experience
in transportation and transit infrastructure. Based in
Canada, he has led strategy, coordination, and delivery for complex, multi-stakeholder
programs across the region. Garcia-Miron, PE, MScE, MBA brings a similar depth of experience, having delivered major infrastructure programs exceeding $2.5 billion across
North America and Latin America.
Jeffrey Swartz
C.F. Crozier & Associates Inc. announced the appointment of Jeffrey
Swartz, P.Eng., as its first executive vice president. Prior to joining
Crozier, Swartz spent his formative years at one of Canada’s largest
consulting engineering firms, where he successfully led the planning and
execution of residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional projects nationwide.
Most recently, he held key executive roles at one of Canada’s largest homebuilders
serving as senior vice president of Land Development and Low-Rise Operations.
Jon Heisler, Chris Redmond
Egis announced the appointments of Jon Heisler as the
Executive Vice President of Energy and Sustainable Cities
in Canada, and Chris Redmond as Executive Vice President for Transportation in Canada. Heisler brings extensive
industry experience to Egis, having led large engineering and design teams across Canada.
With over 35 years of engineering and business experience, Redmond has led large, multi-disciplined teams to deliver complex projects on-time and within budget. His strategic
leadership has significantly increased operational performance in his previous roles.
