Scarborough
Subway Extension
$5.5 BILLION
The Scarborough Subway Extension is a 7.8-kilometre
extension of TTC’s Line 2 Bloor-Danforth Subway, from the existing Kennedy Station northeast to McCowan Road/Sheppard
Avenue. The line will include three new stations at Lawrence
Avenue and McCowan Road, Scarborough Centre and a terminal
station at McCowan Road and Sheppard Avenue. The project is
being delivered in two large contracts: the Stations, Rail and
Systems package and the Advance Tunnel project.

GOVERNMENT OF CANADA
The Government of Canada is undertaking a comprehensive rehabilitation of the
Parliament buildings in Ottawa, including the rehabilitation of the Centre Block and
the construction of Canada’s new Parliament Welcome Centre. The project includes:
restoring the building’s stonework, wood, plaster, frescos, stained glass, marble and
metalwork; replacing mechanical, electrical and fire safety systems; installing new
information technology, multimedia and security systems; upgrading committee
rooms to provide additional space as well as modern technology for broadcasting and
translation; making the building more environmentally sustainable; building phase 2 of
the Parliament Welcome Centre complex; and restoring the Peace Tower.
