The Prince Albert Victoria Hospital project includes
design and construction of a new acute care tower
connected to, and directly north of the existing facility.
The new tower features a heliport on the roof, an
expanded emergency department, larger operating
rooms, pediatrics, maternity, NICU, new medical
imaging, and a First Nations and Métis Cultural space,
among other key services. Overall capacity at Victoria
Hospital, between the new tower and existing facility,
will increase 40 per cent, from 173 to 242 beds.

Phase III of the project, 40-kilometre long from Saint-Antonin to Saint-Louis-duHa! Ha!, has been under construction since 2018. This is the final stage, which will
complete the construction of Highway 85. This phase of work is divided into seven
sections, which have been gradually being commissioned since fall 2021 and will
continue until 2026. Phase I of the construction of Highway 85 was completed in
2011. The work was divided into four sections totaling 21 kilometres.
