Megan Telford
Hydro One Limited appointed Megan Telford as President and CEO.
Telford is currently Hydro One’s Chief Operating Officer. Her previous executive leadership roles at Hydro One included responsibility for Health,
Safety and Environment, System Planning, Human Resources, Labour
Relations, Indigenous Relations, Corporate Affairs and Customer Care.
Jean-Christophe Caron
JCB Construction Canada announced the appointment of JeanChristophe Caron as Vice President, Preconstruction. Caron joined JCB
in 2018 as an Estimator and was subsequently appointed Chief Estimator
in 2022, then Director of Estimation in 2023. In his new role, Caron
will oversee and optimize all activities related to the preconstruction phase, including
business development, strategic marketing, and project estimating.
Katia Millaire, Sylvain Gazaille
CIMA+ announced the appointment of Katia Millaire
as Senior Vice President, Talent and Culture, and Sylvain
Gazaille as Senior Director, Defence Market. Millaire has
over 20 years of experience in human resources, including seven at CIMA+. During her career, she has led HR business partnerships and the
HR operational services centre. With more than 30 years of experience within Canada’s
defence environment, combined with an academic background in engineering, Gazaille
brings a deep and practical understanding of defence priorities, operational constraints
and delivery realities.
Irwin Bess
BuildForce Canada welcomed Irwin Bess as its new Executive Director.
Bess has held senior leadership roles across the federal public service,
leading major transformation and service innovation initiatives. Prior to
joining the public service, Irwin worked as a municipal land development
planner and holds a Bachelor of Environmental Studies (Planning) and a Master of Arts
with a focus on transportation and supply chains.
Vivek Sood
Nova Scotia Power announced the appointment of Vivek Sood as
President and CEO. Sood has been a member of the Nova Scotia Power
Board since June 2024 and spent more than 20 years as a senior leader
with Sobeys and Empire Group of Companies. He has deep experience
in corporate strategy and planning, operations, and finance leadership, and a passion
for operational excellence, people development, community engagement, strengthening
stakeholder relationships, and championing diversity, equity, and inclusion, making him a
strong strategic fit to lead the utility in its next chapter.
Jaime Freyre De Andrade
Pomerleau appointed Jaime Freyre De Andrade as its new Chief Operating Officer - Civil, Infrastructure and Major Projects. In his previous
role at SNC-Lavalin, he was Senior Vice President and Project Director
at NouvLR, the consortium responsible for building the Réseau express métropolitain (REM). He previously worked for Spain’s FCC Servicios Ciudadanos
for over 18 years, building projects in Europe, North America, and the Middle East.
Padraig McCarthy, Todd Baker, Aleksi Makila, Owen Nordmark
Chandos Construction announced the appointments of Padraig McCarthy and
Todd Baker as Vice Presidents & District Managers, Aleksi Makila as VP & Division
Manager, and Owen Nordmark as VP of our Centre of Excellence.
Chris Metaxas
TULLOCH announced the appointment of Chris Metaxas, P.Eng. as
the Engineering Lead for its Mining and Construction team. Metaxas
brings 20 years of experience across Ontario’s infrastructure and
construction market. A Professional Engineer in Ontario with deep expertise in civil, structural, and geostructural design, project management, and contract
administration, he has led infrastructure projects from design through construction.
Dennis Gam
Entuitive announced that Dennis Gam has joined its leadership
team as a Senior Associate based in the Vancouver office. Gam
brings three decades of structural engineering experience in the Lower Mainland, with highly specialized expertise in existing buildings,
seismic resilience, heritage structures, and the interface of structure and building
envelope performance.
Jeff Lyash
Aecon Group Inc. announced the appointment of Jeff Lyash to its
Board of Directors. Lyash brings four decades of nuclear and power
industry experience, including over 20 years as a senior corporate
executive. He previously served as President and CEO at Tennessee
Valley Authority and Ontario Power Generation, President of Chicago Bridge & Iron
Power, Executive Vice President of Energy Supply at Duke Energy and Progress Energy,
and President and CEO at Progress Energy Florida, among other leadership roles.
