Kieran Hawe
EllisDon announced the appointment of Kieran Hawe as chief
executive officer. Hawe began his career at EllisDon in 1999 as an
M&E coordinator. He was appointed Toronto Area vice president in
2013, and then to senior vice president and area manager of Central
Canada in 2016, and executive vice president and COO, Construction, in 2019.
He helped build a $5 billion construction operation while managing several large
multidisciplinary teams and shaping EllisDon into one of the largest construction and
building services companies in Canada.
Samantha Lane
Entuitive announced the addition of Samantha Lane, sustainable
performance dead based in Calgary, and Bereket Alazar, senior building
envelope specialist based in Edmonton. Lane joins Entuitive after
holding several building performance leadership roles, most recently at
Stantec. With 15 years of professional building science consulting experience, Bereket
joins Entuitive from Morrison Hershfield where he specialized in the diagnostic analysis
of building envelope issues and targeting envelope assessments for existing buildings.

Michel Veilleux
WSP Canada announced the appointment of Michel Veilleux as senior
director, Strategic Advisory Services—Transportation & Infrastructure.
Veilleux has worked for more than 30 years in the public transit
sector in Quebec, most recently as CEO of the Réseau de transport
de Longueuil (RTL). Before that, he held the positions of deputy general manager
for the city of Longueuil, vice president of Planning and Development at the Agence
métropolitaine de transport (AMT), and Head of the Planning Division at the Société
de transport de Montréal (STM).
At the 129th the annual Good Roads Conference in Toronto, John
Parsons, division manager, Road Operations with the City of London
was installed as the president of the 2023-2024 Good Roads Board
of Directors. “I’m humbled and honoured by this opportunity and
looking forward to serving as the Good Roads Board president.” said Parsons.

Ian Turpin
CIMA+ announced the appointment of Ian Turpin as ESG director. He
has over 20 years of experience in ESG across North America, Oceania
and Europe. He served as director sustainability for Quadra, where he
spearheaded the Sustainable Solutions and Green Chemistry portfolio
and product development. Turpin holds a master’s degree in strategic environmental
Impact Assessment, a joint program of McGill University and the United Nations
Environment Programme (UNEP).

Pope graduated from the University of Alberta in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in
Mechanical Engineering. She spent more than a decade in the industry honing her skills
before joining Smith + Andersen. A designer with nearly 20 years of experience, Moro
has a multi-faceted understanding of electrical design. He began his career as an electrician, and this hands-on experience now informs his approach to design. An industry
professional with more than 10 years of experience, Gliddon has produced HVAC and
plumbing designs for a wide variety of market sectors across western Canada.
Julie Beauséjour
EXP announced the promotion of Julie Beauséjour to senior vice
president, International. She will lead EXP’s new international sector
and focus on strengthening operations in developing countries. Since
joining EXP in 2008, Beauséjour has led several water treatment
engineering projects in Vietnam. In 2014, she was promoted to vice president,
International, in EXP’s Infrastructures group. In this role, she coordinated the
development of major programs and projects with key international organizations
including The United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), and the World Bank.
Greg Breen
The City of Kenora announced Greg Breen as director of engineering
and infrastructure services. He is a Professional Engineer (Mechanical)
who joins the city from Graham Construction in Calgary and brings
over 12 years of construction and maintenance project management
experience. Breen is responsible for overseeing the operation of the Kenora’s utilities,
public works, and engineering departments where he will support both the delivery of
capital projects and the renewal and maintenance of the city’s infrastructure.
