Bloor-Yonge Station will be undergoing a design retrofit
and significant expansion to meet both current and future
ridership demand. The Bloor-Yonge Station project includes
the construction of a new Line 2 passenger platform and the
expansion of both Line 1 passenger platforms, enhancements to
the concourse level, entrances, exits and improved accessibility
features.

The Cascade Power Project is a 900 Megawatt (MW) combined cycle natural gas-fired generating facility, being constructed approximately 12 kilometres southwest of Edson in Alberta’s Yellowhead
County.
Upon completion, the new plant will have the caapcity to supply
up to eight per cent of the province’s overall current energy needs.
Financial close on the project was reached in August 2020. Construction is underway, and is scheduled for completion sometime
in 2023.

The Royal Columbian Hospital redevelopment is a three-phase,
multi-year project that will increase the hospital’s capacity by
approximately 50 per cent, introduce advanced medical technologies and improve the health care environment for staff and
patients. Phase 1’s Mental Health and Substance Use Wellness
Centre opened in August 2020. Phase 2, now under construction,
will create a new acute care tower and expand the hospital’s bed
capacity. Phase 2 is expected to be complete in 2025. Phase 3 will
upgrade and expand areas in existing buildings to support the
beds and services in the new acute care tower. Phase 3 construction is expected to begin in 2024 and be complete by 2026.

The SmartTrack Stations Program will improve transportation
choice within Toronto by leveraging existing transit infrastructure to serve more people. Combined with Metrolinx’s GO Expansion Program, the SmartTrack Stations Program will transform
heavy rail infrastructure in Toronto from a regional commuter
service into an urban rapid transit network. The SmartTrack Stations Program, funded by the City of Toronto, will see five stations constructed at Finch-Kennedy, East Harbour, King-Liberty,
Bloor-Lansdowne, and St. Clair-Old Weston. Through the GO Expansion Program, the stations will be supported with all-day, twoway service, increased frequency, and quieter and faster trains.
The SmartTrack Stations program will expand transit access for
Toronto residents travelling within and beyond the city. The procurement process for the St. Clair-Old Weston; Finch-Kennedy;
King-Liberty; and Bloor-Landsdowne is underway.
