The Blue Line Extension project will add approximately six kilometres of track
and five new stations to the current 12-station Blue Line, one of four Metro lines
that runs through the Greater Montreal Area. The extension will run along Jean-Talon
Street, ending east of Highway 25. Mobilization of the first excavation sites for the
tunnel boring machine will began in the Fall of 2023, along with site mobilization
and preparations for the excavation of Langelier station. More construction will
follow gradually over the course of 2025.
