The Pie-IX BRT is a leading, high-performance
public transit project, integrating the rehabilitation
of municipal infrastructures and the reconstruction of Pie-IX Boulevard. It is also a public transit
infrastructure spread across 13 kilometres, between
Saint-Martin Boulevard in Laval and Notre-Dame
East street, including 44 BRT bus shelters and bus
priority lights in real time. In February 2024, the
project launched the next phase of work to extend
the Pie-IX BRT between Pierre-De Coubertin Avenue
and Notre-Dame Street East.

Route 389
Improvement Program
$738 MILLION
Route 389 connects the town of BaieComeau and the border of the province of Newfoundland and Labrador over a distance of 570
kilometres. Built in stages, it has a very rugged
and winding profile requiring several corrections.
The program is divided into five separate projects carried out in parallel: Project A—from Fire
Lake to Fermont; Project B—from Baie-Comeau
to Manic-2; Project C—north of Manic-5, from
kilometre 240 to kilometre 254; Project D—from
Manic-2 to the north of Manic-3; and Project E—
from north of Manic-3 to Manic-5.

WATER/WASTEWATER
When operational, the Springbank Off-stream
Reservoir Project (SR1) will work in tandem with
the Glenmore Reservoir and other flood mitigation
infrastructure in and around Calgary. The SR1 Project
includes: a diversion structure on the Elbow River; a
4.7-kilometre diversion channel; a 29-metre earthen
dam stretching approximately 3.8 kilometres; and a
series of hydraulic structures and two overpass bridges
above the diversion channel, totalling 70,000 cubic
metres of reinforced concrete. In total, earthwork
volume for this project is estimated at around five
million cubic metres.
