HIGHWAY
Route 138
$696 MILLION
MTMD
The Route 138 extension project aims to connect the
communities of the Lower North Shore to each other and
to the rest of Quebec, between Kegaska and Vieux-Fort. Its
main objective is also to improve service and reduce the
isolation of local communities. Nearly 5,000 residents are
spread across five municipalities, an unorganized territory
and two Indigenous communities. The sections located
between Kegaska and La Romaine and between Têteà-la-Baleine and La Tabatière are considered to be “in
progress” while the sections located between La Romaine
and Tête-à-la-Baleine and between La Tabatière and VieuxFort are “under study.”

2026. The second phase of the Plant
D Secondary Treatment expansion
includes the construction of a third
BNR reactor and two additional
